death by water

This interdisciplinary performance (film, theatre, music & dance) is performed outside under the blanket of a winter's sky with the viewer witnessing the piece from within the protection of a heated Plexiglas shed. The audience will be transported by rickshaw at undetermined intervals from a nearby funeral home, to the performance location.

DEATH BY WATER was first performed in Toronto, March 2003.

The two halves of this work are performed in two adjacent sites — Trinity Bellwood Park and the Bates & Dodds Funeral Home (931 Queen Street West), directly across the street. Audiences were led in groups (6-10 people at a time) between the sites by rickshaw.

All admission proceeds went to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
